RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE.
DO NOT EXECUTE IDLE STROKES.
Most frequently, during the demolition works, the strokes in soft or light materials are called idle strokes. This happens when the piston does not stroke the hammer tool, and the impact force and energy is absorbed by bolts and the tool retaining screws and not by the tool itself. This causes an erosion and the subsequent rupture of the tip. The breaking in these cases usually appears at the top of the hammer pin as a result of the idle strokes when the tip of the tool is separated from the rest of the hammer.
CONSTANT LUBIRICATION.
Even if the hammer is provided with a lubrication system, it is necessary to lubricate the tip of the tool to avoid the friction between metals.
DO NOT BEND.
Using the power of the arm of the hammer to break, or using the tool of the hammer as a lever sooner or later it will break. The same thing occurs when the tool leans incorrectly or when it is introduced continuously between cracks.
LOW TEMPERATURES.
At low temperatures it is recommended that the tools be heated before use and if it is possible use at low speed for a progressive increase in temperature of the machinery.
CORROSION.
Rust or corrosion on the tool occurs when the tool is stored outdoors and it is not well lubricated. This can be avoided by simple and easy lubrication and maintenance of hammer’s tool away from moisture when not in use.
